dc.description.abstractSe aborda la obra de Gabriela Mistral, quien tiende a ser más conocida por su producción poética que por la literaria como reflejo de su opinión y/o reflexión sobre asuntos políticos y sociales. Se analiza el discurso pronunciado en 1931, en la Escuela Normal de Institutoras de la Ciudad de Panamá y los artículos: “Instrucción primaria obligatoria” y “A secreto canje”. Se observa así a esta autora visionaria, militante, comprometida y adelantada 155 años a lo que la Ley 20.845 fija clara y precisamente: el Estado nos es proveedor sino garante de la educación como un derecho social.
dc.description.abstractenThe work of Gabriela Mistral is approached, who tends to be better known for her poetic production than for the literary one as a reflection of her opinion and / or reflection on political and social issues. It‟s analyze the speech delivered in 1931, in the Normal School of Institute of the City of Panama and the articles: “Primary compulsory instruction” and “A secret exchange”. She is observed in this way like a visionary, militant, committed and advanced author 155 years, which Law 20.845 clearly and precisely establishes: State is a provider but a guarantor of education as a social right.
