Abstract
In this chapter, we offer a collective reflection concerning our work as trainers of trainers, especially in a time of crisis like the one our country is experiencing. The awakening of Chile in October 2019 and the experience of the pandemic product of COVID-19 reconfigured the new social scenario in Chile. Based on our work as a team of researchers concerned about teacher education, we address the need to rethink the role of teachers in the construction of a new society. On the one hand, we take a journey to understand what the depoliticization of the teaching role and society has been, and, on the other, we approach the challenges that we envision in this post-pandemic transformation process that goes hand in hand with a new constitution for Chile. Finally, we install some elements that we believe are essential to re-politicize teacher education.
