dc.description.abstractEl artículo analiza la normativa jurídica en Cuba sobre el derecho de manifestación, con un enfoque particular en su compatibilidad con los están-dares internacionales fijados por el derecho internacional de los derechos hu-manos. En igual sentido, evalúa las perspectivas del ejercicio de este derecho, sus límites y sus posibilidades en el entorno político y social cubano. También se hace extensivo este análisis respecto a otros derechos como el derecho de asociación, la libertad sindical y el derecho de huelga. El artículo se realiza des-de un plano descriptivo y analítico. Ello permite advertir varios desfases entre los estándares internacionales sobre el derecho a la protesta o manifestación y la regulación jurídica y la práctica de este derecho en Cuba.
dc.description.abstractThe article analyzes the legal regulations in Cuba on the right to protest, with a particular focus on its compatibility with the international stan¬dards set by international human rights law. In the same sense, it evalua-tes the prospects for the exercise of this right, and its limits and possibilities in the Cuban political and social environment. The analysis is extended to other rights such as freedom of assembly and association, freedom to form a trades union, and the right to strike. The article adopts a descriptive and analytical approach, which allows us to remark on several gaps between interna¬tional standards on the right to protest or demonstrate, and the legal regula¬tion and practice of this right in Cuba.eng
