dc.description.abstract	Este artículo parte de examinar la fuerza de lo que puede consi-derarse como el embrujo racial y los escozores que genera el concepto raza. El que algunos colegas consideren que debe ser sustituida la palabra raza por términos que no apuntalen el racismo como grupo étnico o cultura, es una expresión de sensibilidades teóricas y políticas que ameritan ser abordadas. No es simple ceguera ideológica de la que estarían exentos otros colegas que abogan por la relevancia de no abandonar raza en el análisis. Racialización, etnización y blanquidad se abordan en sus especificidades, desde una labor teórica necesaria para interrumpir no pocos lugares comunes. Entender sus distinciones y particulares anudamientos es lo que busca la segunda parte de este artículo. No toda diferencia como jerarquía supone marcaciones racializadas ni racismo, así como la apelación a la diferencia cultural no garan-tiza que se no se reproduzcan los entrampamientos de las categorías raciales. Finalmente, en este artículo se explora la idea de horizontes de historicidad para complementar el concepto de formaciones nacionales de alteridad, proporcionando una perspectiva histórica que incluye las anterioridades de la nación. Este enfoque permite entender las articulaciones entre los procesos de formación de la nación y sus antecedentes históricos, para que desde genealogías más amplias se pueda examinar cómo estos han influido en cómo hemos llegado naturalizar hoy ciertas diferencias/desigualdades.
dc.description.abstracten	This article begins by examines, firstly, in the power of what can be considered the racial enchantment and the discomfort generated by the concept of race. The idea that some colleagues believe the word race should be replaced with terms that do not support racism, such as ethnic group or culture, reflects theoretical and political sensitivities that need to be addressed. This is not merely a matter of ideological blindness,; as there are other colleagues who argue for the importance of retaining the term race in analysis. Racialization, ethnicization, and whiteness are addressed in their specifici-ties are addressed, requiring a theoretical effort to disrupt many commonplaces. Understanding their distinctions and particular connections is the aim of the second part of this article. Not every difference, such as hierarchy, implies racialized markings or racism, just as the appeal to cultural difference does not guarantee the avoidance of the pitfalls of racial categories.Finally, this article explores the idea of horizons of historicity to comple-ment the concept of national formations of alterity, providing a historical pers-pective that includes the antecedents of the nation. This approach allows for an understanding of the articulations between nation-building processes and their historical antecedents, enabling a broader genealogical examination of how these have influenced the ways we have come to naturalize certain diffe-rences/inequalities today.
