La persistencia del «Vivir como mapuche». Una aproximación a la identidad étnica de la comunidad mapuche Folil Mapu, en la Región del Maule, Chile

| dc.description.abstract | A través de un estudio exploratorio llevado a cabo desde un enfoque etnográfico, se propuso identificar cómo se ha configurado la identidad étnica de la comunidad mapuche Folil Mapu, que reside actualmente en la comuna de Curicó, en la región del Maule, Chile. Para abordar dicho proceso, se contemplaron cuatro categorías de análisis fundamentales desde las que se estudia la migración mapuche: a) identidad étnica, b) etnicidad, c) memoria colectiva y d) etnificación-etnogénesis. Los resultados obtenidos dan cuenta de una consistente continuidad cultural basada en el fortalecimiento de la identidad mapuche, entre mapuche migrantes que superaron los inconvenientes propios que acarrea consigo el proceso de migración por razones de desempleo, y la reconfiguración de sus redes y relaciones sociales en la ciudad receptora. De esta forma, se describen aspectos significativos acerca del proceso de conformación de esta comunidad, la primera comunidad indígena de la región del Maule, y de cómo, en un contexto urbano, sus miembros han construido espacios y discursos acerca del vivir como mapuche. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Through an exploratory study carried out from an ethnographic approach, set out to identify how has been configured the ethnic identity of the mapuche community FolilMapu, who currently resides in the commune of Curico, in the region of Maule, Chile. To address this process, be contemplated four fundamental categories of analysis from which the mapuche migration is studied: a) ethnic identity, b) ethnicity, c) collective memory and d) ethnification-ethnogenesis. The results obtained show a consistent cultural continuity based on the strengthening of the mapuche identity between migrants, who overcame the own disadvantages which carries with it the migration process for reasons of unemployment, and the reconfiguration of their networks and social relations in the receiving city.
