dc.description.abstractEl siguiente artículo busca contribuir al entendimiento de la astroinformática como una sub-disciplina emergente en el contexto de un sostenido incremento en las grandes cantidades de datos en la astronomía. Para ello, se realiza un estudio cualitativo en donde se entrevista a expertos internacionales de tal forma de indagar en los temas de interés de esta área y cómo ha sido definida. De la misma forma, se utiliza la tesis de la triple hélice – como coordinación entre empresa-Estado-universidad- de tal forma de explorar las estrategias que ha realizado Chile para posicionarse en el escenario global y desarrollar su cultura científica local a través de la astroinformática. Se concluye con los desafíos que enfrenta el país para llevar a cabo dicha empresa en la actual conformación de un sub-campo científico y el rol que podría tener en la conformación de esta nueva generación en el campo del saber astronómicoes_ES
dc.description.abstractThe following article aims to understand astroinformatics as an emerging sub-discipline in the context of a sustained increase of the large amount of data produced by astronomy. For this purpose, a qualitative study is conducted which includes interviews to international experts of the area in order to investigate their topics of interest within this field and how it has been defined. In the same way, the triple helix hypothesis is used, as coordination between the company, the state and the university, to explore the strategies that Chile has used to position itself within the global scenario and to develope its scientific culture through astroinformatics. The study concludes discussing the challenges that the country is facing in the current conformation of a scientific subfield and the role that it could have in shaping this new generation in the field of astronomyes_ES
