| dc.description.abstract | A través de este trabajo se va a tratar el sismo ocurrido en Lima en 1609 con el objetivo de darle visibilidad historiográfica aportando documenta-ción nueva y aplicando la metodología del estudio histórico y social de los de-sastres. Nuestra investigación pretende poner en relieve este objeto de estudio frente al vacío documental e historiográfico que ha existido en torno a él. Para ello partimos de la premisa de que los “desastres” son construcciones sociales sobre los efectos de ciertos fenómenos naturales que nos permiten acercarnos a los procesos sociales de las sociedades del pasado en las que se manifiestan. | |
| dc.description.abstracten | The main purpose of this investigation is to study Lima ́s 1609 ear-thquake, providing new documentation in order to bring it into de historical spotlight, analysing it from an historical and social perspective of the studies of natural disasters. This work aims to provide this evento with the historical relevance that has been denied to it, understanding “natural disasters” as a hu-man way to interpretate the effects cetain natural phenomena, and trying to comprehend the social constructions and interpretations in which those are manifested. | |
