dc.description.abstract	En un primer momento, durante la introducción hablo sobre un caso concreto que despertó estas discusiones y el cual consiste en cómo las personas mestizas, particularmente las mujeres mestizas heterosexuales de clase popular no se ven a sí mismas como atravesadas por lo racial, ni mucho menos cuestionan su racismo. En un segundo momento explico la metodología a la que me apego y explicito mi locus de enunciación. En el tercer apartado explico cómo lo mestizo también está racializado y la manera en que la contra-dicción está presente en la experiencia mestiza -vivir el racismo y ser racista-. Acto seguido, defino lo que entiendo por proyecto racial de mestizaje, así como los pilares que lo conforman y las repercusiones de que el Estado nación mexi-cano haya abordado el racismo desde lo cultural, para después hablar sobre el impacto de los proyectos transnacionales en el giro antirracista mexicano y la manera en que esto impactó en una retórica del color y en el discurso de raza. Como cuarto momento muestro cuáles discusiones y de qué manera se están llevando a cabo los debates sobre mestizaje, y que oportunidades se abren o se cierran, según sea el caso. Finalmente, cierro con unas breve conclusiones.
dc.description.abstracten	This paper has been organized in five chapters. First, in the intro-duction, I talk about a concrete case that sparked these discussions, which con-sists on how mixed-race people, particularly heterosexual mixed-race women of the working class, do not see themselves as racialized, let alone question their racism. Secondly, I explain the methodology to which I adhere and make my locus of enunciation explicit. In the third section, I explain how the mestizo is also racialized and how the contradiction is present in the mestizo expe-rience living racism and being racist. Next, I define what I mean by the racial project of mestizaje, as well as the pillars that make it up and the repercussions of the Mexican nation state's cultural approach to racism. Then I discuss the impact of transnational projects on the Mexican anti-racist turn and how this impacted on a rhetoric of color and the discourse of race. As a fourth moment, I show what discussions are being carried out, how debates on mestizaje are being conducted, and what opportunities are being opened or closed down, as the case may be. Finally, I close with some brief conclusions.
