dc.description.abstractEste artículo analiza la temática de la discapacidad a partir de la evolución de este constructo a través del tiempo. La discapacidad es una categoría social que requiere ser revisada desde las prácticas y los derechos. En este sentido resulta relevante sistematizar la evolución del concepto y discutir los planteamientos teóricos y conceptuales asociados a este término, pero sobre todo resulta imprescindible reconocer las barreras generadas por la sociedad que excluyen y discriminan a las personas que son diferentes. La discriminación y el abuso de poder están representadas a través de normas que se traducen en estereotipos excluyentes que niegan las capacidades de las personas y neutralizan los reconocimientos que ayudan a que las personas con condiciones de discapacidad participen en igualdad en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad. Este artículo de carácter bibliográfico se orienta desde la metateoría y analiza descriptivamente la temática asociada a la discapacidad y sus nociones conceptuales adyacentes, principalmente la díada de normalidad/anormalidaden_US
dc.description.abstractThis article analyzes the topic related to disability based on the evolution of this construct over time. Disability is a social category that needs to be reviewed from practices and rights. In this sense it is important to systematize the evolution of the concept and discuss the theoretical and conceptual approaches associated with this term, but above all it is essential to recognize the barriers generated by society that exclude and discriminate against people who are different. Discrimination and abuse of power are represented through norms that turn into exclusionary stereotypes that deny the capabilities of people and neutralize the recognitions that help people with disabilities to participate equally in all areas of society. This bibliographic article is oriented from the metatheory and it descriptively analyzes the topic associated with disability and its adjacent conceptual notions, mainly the dyad of normality / abnormalityen_US
