The present study addresses the university government of Argentinian national universities and the relation between the different internal actors. Through the proposed theoretical perspective in the Agency Approach, different dimensions referred to the university government and the impact that they have on management efficiency are explored. The normative context brought by the Higher Education bill, contributes within the referential framework of the analysis. The main objective seeks to analyze in which degree, interests' divergence and existent information asymmetry between university presidents and maximum collegiate body, impact in management. The study is exploratory and with a quantitative approach; it bases its analysis in the academic expert opinion of different members of university cloisters. The data obtained was analyzed using multiple techniques including descriptive and inferential statistics. Results contrast with those from other countries, given that they do not allow to identify the significant differences within the analyzed dimensions, and shed light on the matter of related causes.
