| dc.description.abstract | El artículo presenta una «otra globalización» protagonizada por individuos que se dicen fuera de carriles en relación a los flujos globales «desde arriba» o «desde abajo». Son migrantes transnacionales, herederos del movimiento hippie, que están conectados globalmente por medio de una red de afecciones y lealtades. El texto presenta la religiosidad de la Nueva Era y de la contracultura según las ciencias sociales y hace una breve exposición etnográfica de una celebración de matrimonio realizada en el espaciotiempo de una nueva civilización en un pueblo ubicado en el Brasil central. La fiesta, en sus diferentes etapas, presenta la apertura de los nuevaeristas a las hibridaciones interculturales y a la convivencia pacífica con la diferencia. En la secuencia, se hace una discusión teórica sobre la importancia del concepto de «otras globalizaciones» para la comprensión de múltiples fenómenos que ocurren en escala global y su relación con una concepción de cosmopolítica revisitada. La Nueva Era y la contracultura son marcadas por su misticismo pero también por sus manifestaciones políticas en la defensa de una agenda global alternativa. | dc.description.abstract | The article presents an «other globalization» starring individuals who call themselves dropouts in relation to the global flows «from top» or «from below». These transnational migrants, heirs of the hippie movement, are connected globally through a network of affections and loyalties. The text approaches the New Age religion and the counterculture showing a brief ethnographic exhibition of the celebration of a marriage made in the space-time of a new civilization in a village in central Brazil. The party, in its different stages, presents New Agers openness to intercultural hybridizations and their engagement in a peaceful coexistence with the difference. Next, we bring a theoretical discussion about the importance of the «other globalizations» concept for understanding many phenomena occurring on a global scale and its relationship to a revisited conception of cosmopolitics. New Age and counterculture are marked by their mysticism but also for its political demonstrations in defense of an alternative global agenda.
