dc.description.abstractEste artículo destaca y reconoce la gran diversidad religiosa y cultural existente en América Latina, diversidad que termina convergiendo en las aulas de clases de las escuelas, colegios y liceos. Además, se observa aún la presencia hegemónica colonialista de la Iglesia católica que, desde la misma Conquista, en 1492, ha estado presente en las tierras de Abya Yala, permeando, a nivel epistemológico, las formas de ver e interpretar la vida y el mundo. Es precisamente en este contexto donde la enseñanza de la religión adquiere gran pertinencia en cuanto se plantea el desafío de generar, a partir de lo laico, interreligioso e intercultural, como bases y fundamentos de orden epistemológico y metodológico, un currículum y planeamiento de dicha enseñanza que permita desprejuiciar, desjerarquizar y horizontalizar las relaciones entre las distintas religiones y culturas existentes. De esta forma, nos parece que, sobre la base y el ejercicio del mencionado desafío, será posible la construcción de una cultura de la paz y de la sana convivencia entre quienes componemos la sociedad humanaen_US
dc.description.abstractThis article highlights and recognizes the cultural and religious diversity that exists in Latin American, a diversity that ends converging at the elementary and high schools’ classrooms. In addition, it is still observed that the colonialist hegemonic presence of the Catholic Church that from the conquest, in 1492, it has been present in the Abya Yala’s lands, permeating, in an epistemological level, the ways of interpreting and seeing the life and the world. It is precisely in this context, where the teaching of religion acquires a great pertinence as soon as the set out of the challenge of generating, starting from the intercultural, interreligious and secular as basis and foundations of methodological and epistemological order, a planning and a curriculum that allows to get free from prejudice, free from hierarchy and horizontalize the relations between the different existing religions and cultures. In this way, it seems that, over the basis and the exercise of the challenge mentioned before, it will be possible the construction of a culture of a peace and healthy coexistence among those who we are part of the human societyen_US
