In this article we expose some of the changes that Chilean trade unionism has gone through in recent decades. We make a general review on the characteristics that trade unionism has assumed since the process of 'democratic transition' up to the present, considering the particular event of the labor reform carried out in 2016. We consider the role played by trade union organizations in this debate and the discussion that originated in relation to its contents. Finally, we propose some of the repertoires charged by organizations with a greater presence in social movements that dislocated the traditional practice of unions in the post-dictatorship period.
